RVMPO Transportation Needs Assessment for Traditionally Underserved Populations

The RVMPO has completed a Transportation Needs Assessment for Traditionally Underserved Populations within the Rogue Valley (March 2016). Subject populations include low-income, minority, seniors, and young persons.

The assessment is presented in two documents: a map packet and a text document. The map packet gives a visual display of areas of high concentrations of subject populations (“Areas of Concern”), common destinations, transportation options and limitations, as well as future transportation investments (projects) relative to the Areas of Concern. The text document essentially interprets the information on the maps, provides the results of a survey that was completed in association with this assessment, and contains a “fair-share” analysis that looks at where transportation dollars are to be invested relative to areas containing high subject populations.
