STP
The Surface Transportation Program (STP) is a federal aid program for transportion infrastructure improvements and maintenance.
This is one of few federally funded discretionary programs that the MPO administers to the jurisdictions. Member jurisdictions submit applications to the MPO to help fund certain transportation improvement projects. Applications are graded by staff, ranked by the Technical Advisory Committee and the Public Advisory Committee, and approved by the Policy Committee.
